Blackbox is the room. The mission is what the room makes possible. People who listen better, communicate clearer, recover faster, and live with more confidence and connection in the parts of their lives that matter most.

Blackbox Academy lived as an idea for over fifteen years before it became real, first as a young actor’s fantasy about a community school where friends could share the craft of performance, then as a quiet conviction during a hiatus from acting that these spaces matter more than I’d realized.
The partnership with Kristin turned the idea into something concrete. Together we built the first version of Blackbox, the classes, the room, the people who keep showing up.
Almost everything Blackbox earns reinvests into building toward a permanent home. That’s the through-line behind every class, gift card, and donation.
