With a focus on improvisation and acting techniques, this class offers your child the chance to create, play, and share in a dynamic and engaging environment.
Classes for this age group provide invaluable benefits, helping children build confidence, enhance social skills, and develop problem-solving abilities. Encouraging kids to express themselves socially at this stage lays the groundwork for the self-assurance and communication skills they’ll carry into adulthood.
This summer camp ends with a performance where the kids show off what they learned in front of an audience of friends and family in Saskatoon.

This class focuses on acting, improvisation, and play, engaging your child with a variety of fun games and creative challenges.
As children approach their teenage years, they benefit greatly from this type of education, which helps them navigate new challenges with confidence. Our drama classes give young minds the opportunity to explore their creativity, build meaningful connections, process complex emotions, and feel secure in expressing who they truly are.
This summer camp ends with a performance where the kids show off what they learned in front of an audience of friends and family in Saskatoon.
Meet the Instructors
Kristin Proskow
Instructor
Kristin brings big energy and even bigger heart to every class she teaches! Originally from Calgary, AB, she’s spent years performing, teaching, and making kids laugh onstage and in the classroom. After studying acting and comedy in Vancouver, Kristin spent nearly a decade performing and stage managing at Jubilations Dinner Theatre, where storytelling and play were at the heart of every show.
Kristin has taught dance, acting, and improv to children of all ages, and she’s especially passionate about helping young performers build confidence, creativity, and connection through theatre. She makes sure every child feels welcome, safe, and ready to shine. Her specialty in improvisation and child-like energy brings an extra dose of fun to every camp and class!.
Graham Chabot
Instructor
Graham brings a world of experience—and a whole lot of fun—to Blackbox Academy’s summer camps! After 15 years in Vancouver, where he trained with some of Canada’s top acting and performance coaches, Graham is thrilled to be back in Saskatoon, sharing his passion for the performing arts with the next generation.
From acting on screen and stage, to voiceover work in the studio, Graham has done it all—and learned from the best, including Colin Mochrie, Andrew McIlroy, Alan Marriott, and Peter Benson. Now, he’s on a mission to help kids grow their confidence, creativity, and love for storytelling through high-energy, hands-on camps that are equal parts skill-building and fun.
Whether your child is new to acting or already loves the spotlight, Graham knows how to make every camper feel like a star.

Pay the Deposit
Pay the $50 non-refundable deposit, or full class payment to secure your spot in class. This is applied towards your class payment.

What Should I Do Now?
Complete the rest of your class payments before the first day of class.
Finish Your Payment Before the First Class
Payments must be made for the full class amount at least one month prior to the start date.
When Are Classes Scheduled?
We offer classes throughout the year, with sessions typically running for 12 weeks.
We start classes in the winter, fall, spring and summer seasons.
Summer Camps will be running in July-August, with more information coming soon
What if I need to cancel?
Life happens – classes cancelled 3 weeks prior to the start date will be offered a full refund less the non-refundable deposit of $50
Non-refundable deposits are applied to every class and would be subtracted from the total price of the class.

This scheduling method helps keep students grouped together, learning together at a similar pace as much as possible.
